What is "The Commons"
The Commons is the communication structure that will be used by the LTEC department to give students a way to learn and communicate about the practice of being students and to learn what they need to know to be successful. The Commons will one day be a fully functional space in which students can share information; faculty and staff can post information; and new and existing students can learn about the program, courses, awards, and what other students are doing. Also, The Commons will be an information source for what jobs are available in the field, what conferences would be good to attend, what teaching opportunities are available to graduate students, scholarships and much more. Faculty and students will have the opportunity to publish articles in The Commons.
